The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.

SASSA will be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency said it truly is alarmed concerning the large amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the higher quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The services stage produced for intervention encounters a large influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it tricky to the office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In sassa this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more resources to help the servicing of all shoppers and enhance access to Social Assistance services,” the agency said.
